Seminar for Piano Teachers, June 13-15, 2011

This is the year! Join us for the 2011 Seminar for Piano Teachers, an exciting and stimulating three-day event on the campus of the University of Oklahoma and directed by Jane Magrath. To get an idea of the atmosphere of our workshop, please view photographs from our June 2009 event! The theme will be "Teaching Elementary, Intermediate and Lower-Advanced Piano Students" and topics dealt with teaching technique, piano teaching literature, practicing, performance psychology and performance practice.

What is scheduled? Guest presenters are headed by Dennis Alexander, Bill Moore, and Mary Craig Powell. Many of you know of Dennis through his compositions, workshops, and publications with Alfred Publishing Company. Mary Craig Powell also is a clinician not to miss! Bill Moore is the Keynote Speaker at the 2011 MTNA National Conference in Milwaukee! So, if you missed him there, hear him here at our workshop this summer!

Additional clinicians include Jane Magrath, Bill Moore, Karen Beres, Barbara Fast, Edward Gates, Steve Betts, and Nicole Biggs. Solo piano recitals will be presented by Jeongwon Ham and Stephanie Shames. We have tried to find something for everyone and think you will make new professional friends, receive new and fresh perspectives, and leave inspired!
