Undergraduate Auditions

To apply for any undergraduate music degree program, students must first apply to OU online. Once accepted, students must apply to the School of Music. Auditions are required for application to the School of Music. For more information, see the Undergraduate Admissions page on the OU School of Music website.

Graduate Auditions

To apply for any graduate music degree program, prospective students must first apply to the OU graduate college online. For more information see the Graduate Admissions page on the OU School of Music website.

Piano major audition dates for admission in Fall 2026

• January 31, 2026 (Masters and doctoral only)
• February 7, 2026 * (All degree programs)
• February 14, 2026 (Masters and doctoral only, last date for doctoral applicants)
• February 21, 2026 * (Masters or undegraduate applicants only, last date for masters applicants)
• February 28, 2026 * Undergraduate applicants only

OU Piano Experience Day

OU Piano Experience Day is a day-long event, hosted annually by OU piano faculty each fall semester. The camp is open to upper-intermediate through advanced, high school-age pianists who have studied piano for at least four years. Participants will receive a private lesson from a piano faculty member and enjoy a day filled with musical activities, including a faculty recital, a duet sight-reading workshop, a keyboard literature session, and a studio class featuring performances by OU undergraduate and graduate students.
